Charlize Theron has signed on to star in Ridley Scott's high-profile 20th Century Fox science fiction movie, "Prometheus," according to Variety. "Prometheus" is slated for release in June 8, 2012 and will also star "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" actress Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender. The movie was originally slated as being a prequel to the popular film, "Alien," but has reportedly morphed into a different film entirely but still retaining some "Alien DNA," according to creator Ridley Scott. The original script was penned by Jon Spaihts, based on an idea by Ridley Scott but a new script is currently being written by Scott and Damon Lindelof. Theron is also reportedly in negotiations to play the evil queen in "Snow White and the Huntsman." The film's cast might also include "Lord of the Rings" actor Viggo Mortensen as the huntsman and "Twilight Saga" actress Kristen Stewart as Snow White.
