Charlie Sheen's kids moved from mom Brooke's home to Denise Richards'
Charlie Sheen's twin sons have been removed from the home of his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, and Denise Richards now has temporary custody of the two boys, OTRC.com has learned.
Bob and Max, 4, were removed from Mueller's home on Thursday May 2, by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, according to E! News. The outlet also reports that social workers have been investigating Mueller's case for over a year.
OTRC.com has confirmed that Richards, who was married to Sheen from 2002 and 2006 and has two daughters with him, has temporary custody of the twin boys. This is not the first time Mueller's children have been in Richards' care.
Mueller's spokesperson declined to comment on the reports to Us Weekly. Charlie Sheen has not spoken publicly about the incident.
Richards temporarily cared for the boys in December 2012 when Mueller was in rehab to treat her addiction to Adderall, according to E! News. Back in April 2011, Richards said publicly that she has offered to care for the boys in the past in order to help out both Mueller and Sheen.
"I've put it out there several times over the past couple of years that if they need help, I'm here," Richards said on an April 2011 episode of "Watch What Happens Live." "I would love the boys to stay and be with the girls. Whatever help they needed, I was definitely offering."
Sheen and Richards' children are 9-year-old Sam and 7-year-old Lola. Lola recently accompanied Richards to the Radio Disney Music Awards late last month.
Sheen and Muller's divorce was finalized in May 2011. Mueller, 35, has done multiple stints in rehab and has struggled with addition for years.
