Charlie Sheen causes stir after tweeting photo of high-speed police escort
Charlie Sheen has stirred up more controversy. This time it involves a picture he tweeted while on his way to his "Torpedo of Truth" stop in Washington D.C. on Tuesday evening.
Authorities said they're investigating after Sheen, 45, tweeted a picture taken inside a Washington D.C. police car that shows the speedometer at 80 mph.
Along with it, he tweeted, "in car with Police escort in front and rear! driving like someone's about to deliver a baby! Cop car lights #Spinning!"
Sheen's show reportedly started almost an hour late.
"We ran more red lights then Brooke Mueller heading to a pawn shop," Sheen said to fans and reporters as he arrived for his show.
Earlier in the day, Sheen was in a Los Angeles court for a child custody case. Sheen's bid for sole custody over his and his estranged wife Brooke Mueller's twin sons, Bob and Max, was rejected.
The judge ruled instead that a previous deal the two had worked out regarding their children will remain in effect, ABC News reported.
Under his deal with Mueller, she maintains primary custody of the boys and the two parties must remain sober for the terms of the agreement to remain valid.
In March, Mueller had their boys removed from the 45-year-old actor's home, where he lives with two younger girlfriends, or "goddesses," and filed a temporary restraining order against the actor, citing domestic violence and calling him "insane."
Sheen and Mueller married in 2008. The actor filed for divorce from Mueller in November and agreed to pay $55,000 a month in child support. Their divorce is set to be finalized on May 2.
