Chad Everett of 'Medical Center' dies at 75
Chad Everett, the star of the 1970s TV series "Medical Center," died on Tuesday, July 24, 2012.
Everett died at his home in Los Angeles after a year-and-a-half-long battle with lung cancer, according to the Associated Press. He was 75 years old.
The actor played surgeon Joe Gannon in the popular medical drama for seven seasons, earning him Golden Globe nominations in 1971 and 1973.
The actor was also known for his role in a number of classic television shows including "Mulholland Drive," "Melrose Place," "The Love Boat," "Murder, She Wrote" and "Without a Trace." Everett also appeared in a number of films including "The Jigsaw Murders," "The Firechasers" and a remake of "Psycho."
In 2009, the actor appeared in an episode of the CW's "Supernatural" where he played an older version of character Dean Winchester. The veteran actor also recently appeared in a February 2012 episode of "Castle," where he portrayed Jerry Maddox in the crime series.
