Catherine Zeta-Jones gets punched by British paparazzi, Michael Douglas unleashes fury
The couple was returning to their London hotel, pushing through a mod of paparazzi when Zeta-Jones yelled out, "He punched me!"
"How dare you punch me!" Zeta-Jones shouted. ""I want a police officer right now. He punched me! The guy coming in here, he punched me!"
Douglas got Zeta-Jones safely in the lobby and returned to find the photographer. Once he had tracked him down, Douglas called him an (expletive) and gave him a firm shove.
The 41-year-old actress, who was born in Wales in the UK, was recognized for her services to the film industry and to her charity work. She received the honor on Thursday at Buckingham Palace by Prince Charles and was accompanied by her Douglas, 66, who recently battled throat cancer, and their children Dylan and Carys, who are 10 and 7 years old. Following the attack, Douglas' representation told ET, who got the confrontation on video, "You saw it for yourself. Otherwise, the trip and the ceremony were fabulous and such a joy for everyone."
Zeta-Jones, known for movies such as "The Mask of Zorro" and "Chicago," and Prince Charles, who is the father of Prince William and the first in line to the British throne, both attended the Ryder Cup golf tournament in Wales in October 2010. The actress left the event early to be with her husband as he continued his cancer treatments. Douglas said in January that he had beaten the disease and that his throat tumor was gone. Now it appears that the actor has gotten his strength back.
