Candice Swanepoel, Victoria's Secret model, defends 'too thin' figure - what do you think?
Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel raised concern over her exceptionally thin figure this week, but the South African has since defended herself.
"I am healthy and happy," Swanepoel told People magazine. "I'm heartened to know how much everyone cares about me, but in this case, everything is normal and good."
Swanepoel, 22, was photographed modeling the new Victoria's Secret swimwear on Wednesday with fellow "Angels" Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima and appeared skinnier than she had in previous photo shoots and runway shows, like in the 2007 Victoria's Secret runway show pictured above.
Swanepoel's modeling agency IMG has listed her dress size as an 8, but it was unclear if the sizes were based on those in the United States.
Furing New York fashion week in November, Swanepoel told ABC News that she has trouble keeping the weight on when she's busy, adding: "I've been traveling around like crazy. I get skinnier if I'm very busy. I've been eating steak and everything, so I'm actually looking forward to eating some lighter food after this."
