Candice Crawford, Miss Missouri USA 2008, engaged to Tony Romo, report says
Candice Crawford, Miss Missouri USA 2008, and Tony Romo, quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys NFL team, have reportedly gotten engaged after dating for more than a year.
Romo, 30, popped the question on Thursday while the two celebrated Crawford's 24th birthday at Wolfgang Puck's Five Sixty restaurant in Dallas, according to KDAF Television, where she works as a sports reporter. The station's website posted a photo of her engagement ring.
Romo and Crawford, who is the younger sister of "Gossip Girl" actor Chace Crawford, have been together since the summer of 2009.
Romo, who is currently nursing a broken clavicle following an October injury during a game against the New York Giants, dated singer Jessica Simpson, between 2007 and July 2009, and country star Carrie Underwood, between 2006 and 2007.
Simpson, 30, and her new boyfriend, 31-year-old former NFL player Eric Johnson, announced their own engagement in mid-November after dating for several months. Underwood, 27, married hockey player Mike Fisher, 30, in Georgia in July.
