Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall: Kate Middleton is 'a lovely girl'
Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall and wife of Prince Charles, has reportedly called Kate Middleton a "lovely girl" and said that she is looking forward to the 29-year-old's upcoming wedding with stepson Prince William.
Camilla, 63, and Middleton have recently spent time together ahead of the event on April 29, which will be marked as a national holiday in the United Kingdom.
"Kate's a lovely girl," the UK newspaper The Express quoted Camilla as saying in her first public comments about her relationship with Middleton. "We're very lucky. I'm very much looking forward to the wedding."
"One of my granddaughters is a bridesmaid," Camilla told students at a flower design school. "She's only three and it will be quite nerve-wracking for a little one. But she will enjoy it."
Middleton, 29, and William, 28, met eight years ago when they were students. The two plan to wed in Westminster Abbey, the site of the 1997 funeral of his mother and Charles' ex-wife, Princess Diana, as well as the 1947 wedding of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
It was reported earlier this week that Middleton will arrive at her wedding in a Rolls-Royce that was damaged last year when Prince Charles and Camilla were attacked by student protesters.
