Bryan Adams, 51, expecting his first child

"Summer of 69" singer Bryan Adams is going to be a dad.

Adams and his personal assistant Alicia Grimaldi are expecting their first child together in May, according to a Tweet on the singer's official Twitter page.

"Alicia Grimaldi and I are expecting a baby. She helped me start my foundation years ago and it looks like she'll be running the family now," the 51-year-old reportedly told ET Canada.

Grimaldi helped to set up Adams' charity, the Bryan Adams Foundation, in 2004.
