Bruce Springsteen chugs fan's beer at Philadelphia concert (Video)
Even The Boss gets thirsty.
Bruce Springsteen delighted fans at a recent concert with the E Street Band in Philadelphia by chugging a cup of beer that one of them handed to him.
The 62-year-old rocker stepped into the crowd while singing "Raise Your Hand" during the Wednesday gig at the Wells Fargo Center, one of the stops of his his Wrecking Ball tour. He held his chest and the music stopped. He then declared: "I need a seat," and parked himself on one near the stage. A female fan handed him a plastic cup half-filled with amber liquid.
"Oh boy. I got a nice beer," he said in his microphone.
He took a sip and then sprang up, shouting: "I'll be right with ya!"
The singer sat back in his seat and chugged the drink as people cheered him on and woman patted and pawed at him affectionately.
"Drink up, Boss!" one fan shouted.
He then continued the song and the crowd helped him up. He made his way back on stage.
"That beer was good!" he said.
A day later, on Thursday, March 29, Springsteen performed in Philadelphia again. He brought his 86-year-old mother, Adele, on stage, as seen in a fan photo he reTweeted.
Springsteen's Wrecking Ball Tour kicked off in Atlanta earlier this month. He is scheduled to perform in places such as New York, California, Louisiana and his native state of New Jersey before flying to Spain in May to begin the European leg, which continues through the end of July.
