Britney Spears has confirmed that hip hop star Nicki Minaj will join her on her all-female tour this summer.

Beginning in June, Spears, 29, is set to perform concerts across the United States and Canada to promote her new album, "Femme Fatale," her seventh major record, which was released in late March and which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart last week.

"This is the Femme Fatale tour and I'm thrilled to have Nicki Minaj, Jessie and the ToyBoys, and Nervo join me and get everyone on the dance floor," Spears said in a statement released on Tuesday, April 12. "Can't wait to take the Femme Fatales on the road."

Tickets are set to go on sale on April 30. Jessie and the ToyBoys is headed by electronic pop singer Jessie Malakouti. Nervo is made up of electronic dance singer-songwriters and twins Miriam and Olivia Nervo.

Spears had announced on ABC daytime program "Good Morning America" last month that Latin pop singer Enrique Iglesias was going to join her on tour, but he later canceled his plans.

"Could not think of a sexier Femme Fatale than @NickiMinaj to come on tour with me!" Spears said on her Twitter page. "Gonna be a hot summer people! The #FemmeFataleBARBZ wont know what hit em. Ready or not people, here we come.... -Britney."

Minaj, 26, Tweeted minutes later: "@britneyspears yup! and let's keep the "other thing" a secret for now... ;)."

Spears and Minaj have not collaborated on music projects together as of yet and it is unclear if the two will hit the stage together at the same time. Spears recently recorded a remix of R&B and pop singer Rihanna's song "S&M."
