Britney Spears to hold free concert in Mexico City, celebrates birthday
Britney Spears is set to hold a free concert in Mexico City on Sunday, December 4.
The newly 30-year-old performer will follow up a performance from her Femme Fetale tour with a free show that will take place at the Monument to the Revolution, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The performer Tweeted, "Can't keep the secret any longer... I'm staying an extra day in Mexico to do a free show this Sunday!! http://tumblr.com/Z3HisxCdtJOE"
The show will kick off the city's $2.6 million Christmas celebration, the industry paper reports, and is expected to draw in 50,000 people.
Spears also took to her Tumblr page to express her appreciation for her fans.
"I've had so much fun and received so much love from my fans all over the world while performing my Femme Fatale tour which I am grateful for," Spears wrote. "I want to return some of that love so I've decided to give my fans in Mexico a special night and perform my Femme Fatale show for free."
Spears recently turned 30-years-old on December 2, and spent the day with boyfriend Jason Trawick, who is also her love interest in her new video "Criminal."
Minaj took to Twitter in true Nicki fashion with kind words and a video with her alter-ego.
"Happy Birthday to a fellow SAG & beautiful ICON @britneyspears," Minaj Tweeted.
