Britney Spears' new song 'Work B----' released early - listen (Poll)
Britney Spears has debuted her new single, "Work B----," a day early after a low-quality version of the dance song surfaced online.
The track is featured on her upcoming new album. Spears had planned to release "Work B----" on Monday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. ET and ended up having an audio-only video posted on her VEVO page on Sept. 15. (LISTEN to the track here -- warning: Contains language unsuitable for children.)
The track features Spears putting on a British accent and singing lyrics such as "You wanna live fancy / Live in a big mansion / Party in France / You better work b----."
Spears, one of the most famous pop stars in the world, had occasionally adopted a British accent while interacting with the paparazzi during her infamous 2008 personal meltdown. She later made a comeback and is believed to soon begin a concert residency in Las Vegas, following in the footsteps of top performers such as Celine Dion and Elton John. No official announcement has been made.
Spears is set to make an announcement about her career on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Tuesday. She dropped a hint in a tweet on Monday, saying: "PS - @iHeartRadio Fest, I will see u Saturday! Looks like I'll be spending a lot of time in Vegas this week... ;)"
Spears has promoted her new music with a series of sexy photos on her Twitter page, including one showing her in a bikini on the set of her new video. She is also teasing another project -- her website features a countdown clock containing only her name and the title "All Eyes on Me." It is set to expire on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Last month, new singles from Lady Gaga and Katy Perry also surfaced online ahead of their release dates. Lady Gaga then dropped her song, "Applause," a week early.
