Bristol Palin had fun on 'Secret Life' but says 'acting's just not my thing'
"I had an awesome time," the 19-year-old mother of Tripp, 1, and daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin told On The Red Carpet's Rachel Smith. "It was fun with the cast and everything but acting's just not my thing."
Bristol Palin gave birth to her son Tripp in December 2008, which became a major issue during her mothers' vice presidential campaign, launched that year with Republican presidential candidate John McCain.
In the July 5 episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Bristol Palin plays herself in a short scene with the main character Amy, a teenage mother portrayed by Shailene Woodley. The two had become friends at a music program for teenage mothers in New York.
Bristol Palin said her family was shocked when they heard she would appear on the series, adding: "My little sister was excited because she's a huge fan of the show."
Bristol Palin said she hopes to pursue "something in the business industry" and is currently involved in speaking engagements to speak about her experience as a teenage mother.
