Bret Michaels releases 'What I Got' video, prepares for heart surgery, VH1 show finale
Bret Michaels recently released the video of his cover of Sublime's hit "What I Got" as he prepares to undergo heart surgery in a few weeks.
Meanwhile, the finale of his VH1 reality show "Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It", which shows his life with daughters Raine, 10, and Jorja, 5, airs on Monday and may see him popping the question to their mother and his longtime girlfriend, Kristi Gibson, his Facebook page says
2010 has not been easy for Michaels, the 47-year-old singer of the rock group Poison who is also known for his VH1 reality dating series "Rock of Love". He has made headlines over the past few months due to a series of health ailments.
Following a tour with his side band through December, Michaels plans to undergo surgery in January to close a hole in his heart, which doctors had found while treating him in May for a stroke, which he suffered just weeks after he had a brain hemorrhage.
"I gotta tell ya, I'm very positive," Michaels told People magazine earlier this month. "I feel positive they're going to do an amazing job. They've done thousands of these operations. I'd say if everything goes well, I'll spend about three days in the hospital. And then about three weeks after that just really, really, really taking it easy."
