It is the end of the line for "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

Producers of the Broadway play, which is an adaptation of the 1958 novella of the same name by Truman Capote, said on Monday, April 15, the show will close after the matinee on Sunday, April 21, according to The Associated Press.

The show has only played 17 preview and 38 regular performances. "Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke starred as the eccentric party girl Holly Golightly, a role made famous by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 film adaptation of Capote's story.

The role marked Clarke's Broadway debut. Clarke stars on "Game of Thrones as Daenerys Targaryen, the mother of dragons. The play also starred "Cheers" actor George Wendt.

This is not the first attempt at bringing "Breakfast at Tiffany's" to Broadway. A 1966 musical starring Mary Tyler Moore closed after just four previews.

The AP notes the show opened to poor reviews and weak box office grosses. The show earned $337,621, or 38 percent of its potential, for the week ending April 7.
