Brandi Glanville: the other 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' were 'hurtful'
Brandi Glanville made her debut on Monday's "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and was instantly thrown into the drama with cast member Lisa Vanderpump.
Glanville's fellow "Housewives" got into gossip mode following her arrival and Vanderpump was already angry after seeing photos of the newcomer with Vanderpump's former houseguest-turned-enemy, Cedric Martinez.
"My feathers are a bit ruffled before I even start," Vanderpump, 51, said in the episode.
Glanville, 38, wrote in her Bravo blog that she wished the other "Housewives" had given her more of a chance rather than gossiping about her behind her back.
"Getting a bird's eye view of what these women were actually saying behind my back was a little hurtful," Glanville wrote on September 27. "At least Lisa said things to my face (although I was very intimidated by her). I respect that so much more then than behind your back gossip. I don't think these women were being very fair to me, but girls will be girls."
The other cast members and Kyle Richards in particular, mocked Glanville for wearing a stiletto while her other leg was in a cast and joked that she was only famous because of her ex-husband.
"I really believe that you get in life what you give out in life, so they are owed some catty [expletive] coming back at them!"Glanville continued. "I really don't think these ladies gave me a fair shake& I do admit it is a pretty silly look to be rocking a stiletto with a crutch but I do EVERYTHING in heels and a little broken leg isn't going to stop me!"
Glanville, who has worked as a runway and print model for over 17 years, has two sons, Mason, 8, and Jake, 4, with Cibrian.
"I was married to the number one douche bag of all time," Glanville said in her introduction, referring to actor Eddie Cibrian who cheated on her with his current wife, singer LeAnn Rimes.
"I have been through an extremely hard couple of years that I wouldn't wish on any woman!" Glanville wrote in her blog. "My family was broken apart and I was devastated while trying to raise my two little boys as my world crumbled around me. Knowing these women now, I'd like to think that if they had a little more background on my situation when we first met they would have been nicer."
Earlier in the year, Glanville and Rimes got in a vicious Twitter battle. The two women have had bad blood since Rimes and Cibrian went public with their romance back in 2009. The couple fell in love on the set of their Lifetime film "Northern Lights." At the time Cibrian was still married to Glanville while Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet. Rimes and Sheremet divorced in June 2010.
Cibrian, who currently stars in NBC's controversial new show "The Playboy Club," recently defended Rime's increasingly slim figure, claiming that his wife is perfectly healthy.
The first season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," aired in 2010 and included Camille Grammer - ex-wife of "Frasier" actor Kelsey Grammer, Kyle and Kim Richards, Lisa Vanderpump and Adrienne Maloof. Glanville and Dana Wilkey joined the cast for the current second season.
