Brad Pitt turned 50 on Wednesday, Dec. 18, and was given a memorable birthday present -- he graces the cover of AARP the Magazine.

"Good morning, and welcome to a world where Brad Pitt is 50," AARP, formerly known as the American Association of Retired Persons, said on Facebook. "He's a four-time Oscar nominee and two-time [recipient of People's] Sexiest Man Alive [title].. and he's just getting started. Join us in wishing William Bradley Pitt a very happy 50th birthday with this special birthday cover of AARP The Magazine."

The actor rose to fame as a sex symbol in the 1990s with roles in movies such as "Thelma & Louise," "Interview With The Vampire" and "Legends of the Fall."
