Blake Lively buys at least 40 pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes, worth some $6,000

Blake Lively of the teen drama series "Gossip Girl" recently bought more than 40 pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes, estimated to be worth a total of at least $6,000, at a sample sale in New York.

The 23-year-old California native plays New York socialite Serena van der Woodsen, a fashionista herself, on "Gossip Girl", which showcases the dramatic lives of members of Manhattan's elite.

"I have sisters, so I'm getting gifts for them and for friends," Women's Wear Daily magazine quoted Lively as saying. "Of course, I got quite a few for myself, too."

Footwear by the designer, a favorite among celebrities, usually costs at between $150 to $2,500 per pair.

Lively also plays Carol Ferris in the new superhero film "Green Lantern" with Ryan Reynolds and recently starred in the Ben Affleck movie "The Town".
