'Biutiful's Javier Bardem wants to work with Coen brothers again
Javier Bardem, who stars in the dark drama "Biutiful," says he would love to work again with Joel and Ethan Coen, who directed him in the 2007 film "No Country For Old Men."
Bardem, a 41-year-old Spanish actor, played an assassin who sported a side-swept pageboy haircut in their movie and earned an Academy Award for his performance. The film won a total of four Oscars.
"Those guys need to give me a call now!" Bardem told the website filmcritic.com. "I will do whatever it takes with my hair again. No worries."
The Coen Brothers' latest film, a remake of the Western "True Grit," was released last week. Bardem said he was "dying to see it."
In "Biutiful," a Spanish movie, Bardem plays a father involved in the underworld of Barcelona who struggles with love, spirituality, crime, mortality and sacrifice. The film has been nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film.
