Beyonce stars in sexy Pepsi ad (Video, poll)
Beyonce is all grown up and reflecting on her past in a new, sexy ad for Pepsi.
The 31-year-old singer signed a million dollar partnership with Pepsi in December. In a new ad, released on April 3 and titled "Mirrors," the singer gazes into a mirror and revisits some of her most popular past looks -- including Sasha Fierce.
First, she encounters herself dressed in pink attire from Destiny's Child's popular "Bootylicious" video. Then, she is faced with a reflection of herself from her first solo single, "Crazy in Love," in the famed white tank top and tiny denim shorts. Lastly, she's faced with her recent alter ego, Sasha Fierce, who she then copies and performs moves from her famous "Single Ladies" routine.
"Embrace your past, but live for now," she says at the end, after all of her reflections disappear and the modern day Beyonce walks out of the dance studio (Watch below).
The starlet, who was recently announced the new face of H&M's summer collection, promoted the premiere of the commercial on her official website on April 3, posting a six second teaser video with the text: "4.4.2013 9AM EDT. #BeyHereNow." She also previewed photos from the commercial's shoot on her Tumblr page.
The unfamiliar Bey song that's heard in the background of the ad is actually her newest track, "Grown Woman," and features production from Timbaland. The song is set for official release on April 8, according to MTV. The song, which sounds like a traditional Beyonce track, doesn't seem to mirror her recently released gritty hip-hop tune "Bow Down / I Been On."
In December, Pepsi announced the multi-year promotional partnership with Beyonce, which was estimated to be worth $50 million, after working with the R&B superstar for about 10 years.
The singer, who first served as a spokesmodel for the soda brand in 2002, will be featured in print and in-store ads and her face will be displayed on Pepsi cans. The commercial that recently debuted is a part of the soda brand's "Live For Now" campaign.
