Could Beyonce be ready for another "baby boy" or girl?
After more than a year since giving birth to her child Blue Ivy, Knowles discussed topics of career, health and motherhood with Shape magazine, revealing that she gained 57 pounds while carrying her daughter to term.
"I didn't have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth," the slimmed-down Knowles told Shape, adding "which I would never do again!"
The singer graced the April 2013 cover of the fitness magazine in a red, yellow and blue two-piece, which revealed the singer's fit, post-pregnancy body.
The weight fluctuation has not prevented the star, who revealed she suffered a miscarriage in the HBO documentary "Beyonce: Life Is But a Dream," from wanting more children.
"Absolutely," E! Online quoted her as telling Shape magazine, when asked if she wanted to expand her family. "I'll probably start after this tour. We'll see if it happens."
Knowles announced her tour, titled The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, after the Super Bowl halftime show in February. From April to August 2013, she will perform in 42 cities throughout Europe and North America.
It is her first major tour in about three years and her first concert series since May 2012, when she performed four sold-out shows in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Although her work schedule may be hectic, the "Baby Boy" songstress credits the experience of raising her child, Blue Ivy, with fostering her maternal instincts.
"I'm most surprised by how much she's taught me," the Grammy Award-winning singer told Shape, as reported by E! Online. "She's only a year old and I've learned so much about myself from her. Giving birth was one of my biggest fears, and having Blue forced me to face it. And now I recognize the strength I have. She teaches me to focus on the things that truly matter, like family, and to pay attention to each moment, because they go by so quickly."
