Beyonce Knowles to appear on 'Britain's Next Top Model'

Beyonce Knowles is set to appear via video on the reality show Britain's Next Top Model to challenge the remaining 10 contestants to create a commercial inspired by her new fragrance, "Heat".

"You will need to convey, on camera, a strong, sexy and powerful image," the singer says in a sneak peek video of the segment, which UK newspapers Metro and The Sun said will be shown on Monday. "Let's see what you've got in front of the camera and if you can handle the heat."

The series, hosted by supermodel Elle Macpherson is one of several spinoffs of supermodel and television host Tyra Banks' show America's Next Top Model.

Knowles was recently deemed the second most powerful celebrity, after Oprah Winfrey, by Forbes, which said the singer, who has been involved in numerous endorsement deals with companies such as L'Oreal and has her own House of Dereon fashion line in addition to her own brand of fragances, earned $87 million over the past year.

Knowles reportedly avoided injury in London earlier this month when a taxi whizzed by her car and ripped the door off its hinges after she opened it near the luxury department store Harrods. She has not addressed the report.

Macpherson, dubbed "The Body," also made headlines in early July when she was slammed by PETA and other animal rights groups after she told a UK newspaper she consumed powdered rhino horn for medicinal purposes. She then apologized for her remarks.
