Betty White and rest of 'Hot in Cleveland' cast tape LeBron James plea, report saysHot in Cleveland, which stars Betty White, has been renewed for a second season, a spokeswoman for its network TV Land told OnTheRedCarpet.com.

The new season could air as early as January with 20 new episodes - twice as many in its debut season that began in mid-June. All cast members, including White, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick, will reprise their roles.

The show is filmed in front of a studio audience and is about a group of friends who arrive in Cleveland on a fluke and end up making it their home. Production on the second season of Hot in Cleveland is set to begin in October.

At 88 years old, White, the only surviving cast member of 1980s sitcom The Golden Girls following the death of friend and co-star Rue McClanahan in June, is still one of the most sought-after pop culture icons.

Her popularity soared after a campaign by fans on the social networking Web site Facebook helped persuade Saturday Night Live producers to allow White to host the late-night sketch comedy show, which she did in May.

The premiere episode of Hot in Cleveland last month attracted 4.8 million viewers, becoming the most watched telecast in TV Lands 14-year history.

The Hot in Cleveland stars recently made a video urging NBA MVP LeBron James to remain with the Cleveland Cavaliers. White promises James, "I'll make it worth your while."
