Bam Margera shares photo showing him holding gun to puppy's head, apologizes
The stars of the MTV series "Jackass" are known for pushing the envelope but cast member Bam Margera has raised eyebrows after posting a photo of himself holding a gun to the head of a puppy.
The 33-year-old later apologized about the picture, which was posted last week alongside the caption: "Penny pooped in my bed. Not too fond of that. If it happens again, Penny goes Bye Byes!"
Margera, who lives in Pennsylvania, told Philadelphia TV news station FOX 29: "I'm on 'Jackass,' so I like humor like that and I like shock value purposes."
"Sorry if I offended anybody but I'm an animal lover," he said, kissing the pink-collared puppy. "Never hurt this dog in a million years and the gun is a fake gun."
He reiterated in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper that the weapon was phony and added that he thinks people who actually torture animals are "rude, crude and more."
Margera has over the past few days also posted photos of him holding what appears to be the same gun to the heads of several people as well as a cat. According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, he and girlfriend Nikki Boyd have six at their Pennsylvania home, in addition to the puppy, who has since been renamed Sunny.
