'Bachelorette' 2013 Desiree wears bikini in rap video, becomes 'bride'
On the next episode of the ABC dating series "Bachelorette," star Desiree Hartsock wears a bikini, shows off her rapping skills and becomes a bride ... kind of.
No, Hartsook did not say "I do" quite yet. But on an episode airing on June 3, Hartsock goes on a date with contestant Brooks, a 28-year-old marketing consultant from Salt Lake City, Utah, and the two end up in a bridal shop during a road trip along the California coast.
After trying on wedding attire, the two emerge dressed as a bride and groom, with Hartsock sporting a delicate, strapless bridal gown with a sweetheart neckline -- and sneakers. The dress is from Winnie Chlomin's Diamond Label Collection and retails for $3,898.
Hartsock and her date also get to sample cupcakes from a vendor truck, much to the delight of onlookers. They later enjoy a romantic meal and share their first kiss as they dance at a private concert by Andy Grammer.
The following day, 14 out of the remaining 19 contestants film a rap video with Hartsock and rapper Soulja Boy (watch it above). In the clip, titled "The Right Reasons," the show's star wears a bikini and a skintight mini-dress and shows off her rapping skills while the men play the parts of previous "Bachelorette" contestants and re-enact memorable scenes from their seasons.
"I'm the Bachelorette and I'm rappin' to you poolside / Here to find true love / One man for my whole life," Hartsock raps. "Last time you saw me / I was cryin' in a limo / Sean sent me home / And put my heart in limbo."
Three contestants are due to be eliminated in the new episode.
If the current ninth season of "The Bachelorette" did indeed end with a proposal, Hartsock may choose to allow ABC to air her wedding as several past stars have done. She told OTRC.com that she would "give it a thought," adding that she wants an "intimate and small" ceremony. (Check out the full interview with Desiree Hartsock.)
