Monday's season 9 premiere of the CBS comedy series "Two and a Half Men," which featured the debut of Ashton Kutcher following Charlie Sheen's firing, was watched by 28.7 million viewers and earned ratings twice as high as last year's first episode.
The premiere earned a 10.7 rating among the coveted demographic of people aged 18 to 49, adjusted ratings showed. The first episode of season 8 garnered a 4.9 rating. The ninth season of "Two and a Half Men" won the 9 p.m. time slot for CBS on Monday night.
The 13th season premiere of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" was watched by a total of 13 million people and earned a rating of 4.0 among viewers aged 18 to 49. The FOX reality show "Hell's Kitchen" came in third with 5.9 million viewers and a rating of 2.6.
