Ashlee Simpson-Wentz says sister Jessica will be a 'wonderful mother'

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz says her sister Jessica, a fellow pop singer who is engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson, will make a "wonderful mother".

Simpson, 30, began dating Johnson in May and announced their engagement in mid-November. Neither Simpson nor her new fiancé have children and she is not known to be expecting any.

"She is genuinely very, very happy, and you go to their house and it's warm and cozy, and it's a good feeling," Simpson-Wentz told People magazine. "He's just a good guy." We were actually over there yesterday, and Jessica is a wonderful godmother and aunt, so I know she would be a wonderful mother."

Simpson-Wentz, 26, married Fall Out Boy bass player Pete Wentz in 2008 after dating since 2006. They recently celebrated their son Bronx's second birthday.

Simpson was married to singer Nick Lachey between 2002 and 2006. Johnson, who played for the San Francisco 49ers and then the New Orleans Saints before he was released from his contract in 2008, filed for divorce from his wife Keri in January after five years of marriage and their divorce was finalized in the fall.
