'Arrested Development' star Jason Bateman Tweets photos of Michael Cera on set
The new "Arrested Development" episodes are finally coming together and Michael Cera has reunited with his on-screen dad, Jason Bateman, on the set of the show.
Bateman posted photos of Cera on the set of the series on his official Twitter page on July 28.
One photo shows Cera on a blank set with Bateman Tweeting, "My son, arriving yesterday."
He later posted another photo of Cera on set holding a door open and eyes closed saying, "A grandson, looking for his Gangee."
The sitcom, which ended its run on television in 2006, featured the dysfunctional, formerly wealthy Bluth family as they try to maintain a lavish lifestyle without the means they used to have before the patriarch of the family got busted for suspicious accounting deals.
The show starred Jeffrey Tambor as George Bluth Sr., Jessica Walter as his wife Lucile Bluth, Bateman, Will Arnett and TOny Hale as their sons, Michael, Gob and Buster Bluth and Portia de Rossi as their sister Lindsay.
Cera played Michael Bluth's teenage son, George Michael and David Cross played Lindsay's husband Tobias while Alia Shawkat played the couple's daughter Maeby. The series had a total of three seasons.
Netflix announced in November that it was bringing back the show with 10 new original episodes that are slated to stream online the first half of 2013, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Director Ron Howard, who is an executive producer of the series as well as the narrator, also took to his Twitter account to tease fans about the script.
He posted a photo of a page from the script and said, " Very very funny :-) Lots of lines for the narrator too!"
