Arnold Schwarzenegger is sporting a new look these days -- and it's for a movie.
The 65-year-old action star and former California governor is wearing his short hair slicked with a side part, "Mad Men" style, for his role as John "Breacher" Wharton in the new film "Ten." The actor, whose hair is also shaved on the sides, was spotted filming the movie in Atlanta in late November and production company Open Road Films recently released official images of him in character.
In "Ten," members of an elite Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) task force rob a drug cartel safe house but then find themselves under serious threat. The movie is set for release on Jan. 24, 2014.
"Ten" also stars Joe Manganiello of the HBO show "True Blood" and the male stripper-themed film "Magic Mike," Sam Worthington from "Avatar," Josh Holloway and Harold Perrineau from ABC's "LOST," Terrence Howard, Max Martini, Olivia Williams and Mireille Enos.
Earlier this month, a fan Tweeted to Schwarzenegger a paparazzi photo that shows a side and unflattering view of the actor's new hairstyle.
"And you can thank my director, @DavidAyerMovies. It is my look for Ten," Schwarzenegger replied.
David Ayer Tweeted on December 13 that they had wrapped production on the film that day.
Schwarzenegger ended his term as California governor in January 2011. He then returned to acting and reprised his role as Trench in "The Expendables 2."
He is also slated to appear in several other films, including "Triplets," a sequel to the 1988 comedy "Twins," where he portrayed the experimentally conceived twin brother of Danny DeVito.
In October, Schwarzenegger confirmed that he will reprise his iconic role as Conan the Barbarian in a sequel called "The Legend of Conan."
