Scarlett Johansson is set to star in the new film "Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of 'Psycho,'" alongside Oscar winners Sir Anthony Hopkins and Dame Helen Mirren.
Johansson, 27, will play actress Janet Leigh, who portrayed Marion Crane in the Oscar-nominated 1960 thriller, her spokesperson confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com on Friday, March 2. Hopkins has been cast as Hitchcock himself, while Mirren will play his wife, Alma, according to Variety, which first reported the news. James D'Arcy will play Leigh's co-star, Anthony Perkins, who played murderer Norman Bates in the original film, which contains an iconic naked shower scene.
Sir Anthony Hopkins has portrayed plenty of impressive roles in his career, but the Oscar-winning actor has big plans, which include "The Muppets."
"If they offered me [a Muppet movie], I'd do it!" Hopkins told OnTheRedCarpet.com at the film's Hollywood premiere. "I'd be Kermit's alter-ego... it's very psychological. I'm Kermit's alter-ego, or he's mine."
Anthony Hopkins is considering the role of Winston Churchill in Angelina Jolie's film project, "Churchill and Roosevelt," the actor told MTV.
"I might work with Angelina Jolie on 'Churchill and Roosevelt,'" Hopkins told MTV. "She's got a thing about Churchill. Angelina sent me a synopsis of the script yesterday, so that's in the offering as well."
Anthony Hopkins' new horror exorcism flick, "The Rite" has topped Friday's box office with an estimated $5.3 million from 3,022 theaters, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
