When the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization behind the Oscars, released a full list of Oscar presenters in late February, "The Amazing Spider-Man" star Andrew Garfield was named as one of the celebrities set to present.
However, when the ceremony aired on Sunday, March 2, the 30-year-old actor did not appear. The Academy explained that it was simply due to the fact that his segment, which, according to The Hollywood Reporter, was supposed to be with "Batkid" Miles Scott, was cut from the award show.
