Anderson Cooper revamps daytime talk show, Kristin Chenoweth to co-host premiere
Anderson Cooper is revamping his daytime talk show.
Cooper entered daytime with his talk show "Anderson" last year, but Cooper and his team are refreshing the show's format and its set. The show will now be called "Anderson Live."
The new format will air live and feature a new daily guest co-host with Cooper. Broadway actress and Primetime Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth will co-host with Cooper for the show's premiere on September 10.
The show will be Chenoweth's first public appearance since her accident on the set of "The Good Wife" in July. The Broadway star was hospitalized on July 10 after a gust of wind blew a piece of lighting equipment out of place on the show's Brooklyn set and the equipment struck Chenoweth on the head.
Chenoweth dropped out of her recurring "Good Wife" role in August due to her injuries. She Tweeted in early August that she was still in pain.
"I'm very excited @KChenoweth will be my first co-host on#AndersonLive for the premiere show sept 10," Cooper Tweeted on Monday, August 27. "We have a lot to discuss! @anderson."
Chenoweth appeared on the show with Cooper twice during season 1. Other celebrity guest hosts for the new season will include Goldie Hawn, Kelly Osbourne, Cyndi Lauper, Howie Mandel, Erin Andrews, D.L. Hughley and Kellie Pickler.
As for what's in store for the revamped show, it will feature trending and breaking news and big name guests like Beyonce, Jake Gyllenhaal, Clair Danes, Ben Affleck, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Kerry Washington, Kelsey Grammer, Carol Burnett and Stephen Colbert.
