Amy Winehouse plans to perform several concerts in Brazil in 2011, marking her first tour following more than two years of alcohol and substance abuse, assault charges, a messy divorce and a series of health scares.

Winehouse, a 27-year-old soul singer known for hits such as "Rehab", will perform at three Summer Soul Festival shows with musicians Mayer Hawthorne and Janelle Monae, and give a concert in Rio de Janeiro in January, her website says.

In October, Winehouse performed in her native United Kingdom for the first time in two years, singing at a charity event at a bar in London's Camden neighborhood. She had said in July that she plans on releasing her third album in early 2011. She is featured on the new Quincy Jones compilation "Q: Soul Bossa Nostra", singing the 1960s hit "It's My Party".

Winehouse last recorded music in 2006, when she released the album "Back to Black", which earned her five Grammys. Throughout the past few years, Winehouse gradually lost weight, appeared drunk at concerts and became involved in violent confrontations at clubs and other venues. Winehouse pleaded guilty in January 2010 to charges of assault of a theater manager and was given a two year conditional discharge and a fine.

Photographs of herself covered in scratches on her arms appeared in newspapers around the world. Celebrity photographers in London often encountered her wandering the streets in the early hours of the morning while appearing disheveled.

Winehouse was rushed to the hospital in 2007 for what she later said was a drug overdose. She checked into a rehab clinic in January 2008 after the release of a video that allegedly showed her smoking crack cocaine. Her father said later that year that Winehouse, a cigarette chain smoker, had developed the lung condition emphysema.

Her love life took a turn for the worse as well. Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil divorced in 2009 after two years of marriage.

She has been linked to director Reg Traviss since last summer, although it is unclear if they are still together. She said last month she has not done drugs in almost three years and hopes to have a baby one day. Tickets for Amy Winehouse's concerts in Brazil are set to go on sale on November 22.
