'American Idol' results show: Who was sent home? (spoiler)
After some contestants rocked their way through hits from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on "American Idol," two contestants received the lowest votes on Thursday during the sixth results show of the 10th season and one was eliminated. On Wednesday night, Will.i.am andGwen Stefani helped the top 9 contestants sing songs that have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which received rave reviews from the judges. Now it is time to find out how America felt about the remaining contestant's performances.
The show began with the top 9 performing a rock medley of "I Love Rock & Roll," "The Letter" and "Sweet Home Alabama." The contestants were then visited by "charisma coach" Russell Brand, who is promoting his new film "Arthur," which opens on April 8.
Lauren Alaina, Casey Abrams and Stefano Langone take center stage where it is announced that Langone has landed in the bottom three.
Constantine Maroulis, who was the sixth place finalist on the fourth season of "American Idol," took the stage to sing "Unchained Melody." Maroulis received a Tony Award nomination for his role in the Broadway musical, "Rock of Ages" which is currently being made into a film starring newcomer Diego González Boneta, Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Alec Baldwin and Paul Giamatti.
Stefani came back to style the three remaining ladies in her own L.A.M.B. collection.
Next up, Paul McDonald, Scotty McCreery and Pia Toscano take the stage and it is announced that Toscano has been placed in the bottom three.
After a visit with Harvey Levin from TMZ, James Durbin, Haley Reinhart and Jacob Lusk arrive on stage. Lusk lands in the bottom three.
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Iggy Pop showed up to sing "Real Wild Child," set off the censors and serenade Jennifer Lopez.
Stefano Langone, Pia Toscano and Jacob Lusk landed in the bottom three. Pia Toscano was eventually eliminated.
The 8 finalists that remain are Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Scott McCreery, Haley Reinhart, Stefano Langone, Paul McDonald and Jacob Lusk.
