Amber Tamblyn to play Charlie's lesbian daughter on 'Two and a Half Men'
Although Charlie Sheen left his role as Charlie Harper on "Two and a Half Men" at the end of the show's eighth season; his character's daughter will be making an appearance on the show soon.
Amber Tamblyn has been cast as Charlie Harper's illegitimate lesbian daughter, according to Deadline.com. The character, named Jenny, moves to Los Angeles in order to try her hand at acting and connect with her family.
The site reports that Tamblyn is set to recur for five episodes, but the role could potentially expand to allow the 30-year-old actress to become a series regular.
Tamblyn first gained attention on the CBS series "Joan of Arcadia." She has also appeared in films like "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," "The Grudge 2," "Main Street" and "127 Hours." The actress also appeared FOX's medical drama "House" as Martha M. Masters and had a cameo appearance in the Quentin Tarantino movie "Django Unchained." Her father, "West Side Story" actor Russ Tamblyn, also made a brief appearance in the film.
In October, the actress wed "Arrested Development" actor David Cross in an outdoor ceremony in the woods. Celebrity guests included Amy Poehler of NBC's "Parks and Recreation" and America Ferrera and Alexis Bledel, who appeared with Tamblyn in the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" films. Their other co-star, Blake Lively, also attended, with Ryan Reynolds.
