Amanda Seyfried donned a plum Lanvin mini dress at the recent Los Angeles premiere of her new thriller "Red Riding Hood."

The movie is based on the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm and is set for release on Friday, March 11. Seyfried, 25, plays Valerie, a young girl who lives in a medieval village that is haunted by a werewolf, who can take on a human form.

Seyfried told OnTheRedCarpet.com and other news outlets at the premiere that the original story "scared the crap" out of her.
