Alyson Hannigan gets 'biggest baby bump' title after Jessica Simpson gives birth?
Now that Jessica Simpson has finally given birth, actress Alyson Hannigan may have been inherited a big title.
The 31-year-old pop singer and fiance Eric Johnson announced on Tuesday, May 1, that they have welcomed a baby girl, who they named Maxwell Drew. Simpson was criticized online for putting on much weight during her pregnancy and gave birth more than a week past her due date.
"Congrats to Jessica Simpson! Does this mean I now have the biggest baby bump in Hollywood?" Hannigan Tweeted.
The 38-year-old actress, who plays Lily Aldrin on the CBS show "How I Met Your Mother" and stars in the "American Pie" films, announced in mid-December of 2011 that she is expecting her second child with husband Alexis Denisof. The two are parents to 3-year-old daughter Satyana.
Hannigan and Denisof have been married since 2003, after meeting on the set of Joss Whedon's cult show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." She played Buffy's friend Willow, while he portrayed Wesley Wyndam-Pryce. Denisof plays Sandy Rivers on "How I Met Your Mother."
Denisof reprised his "Buffy" role on the spin-off show "Angel" and also played Senator Daniel Perrin in "Dollhouse," another series helmed by Whedon. He stars in the director's new film "The Avengers," which is set for release on Friday, May 4, playing a mysterious character called "The Other."
