Ali Fedotowsky of 'The Bachelorette' postpones wedding after injury
Ali Fedotowsky, star of the 2010 season of ABC dating series "The Bachelorette," and Roberto Martinez, the show's winner and her fiance, recently postponed their wedding after she suffered a leg injury.
The couple had planned to get married this past spring. Fedotowsky, 26, fractured her femur while kickboxing and underwent surgery several weeks ago.
"I don't want to limp down the aisle," she told People magazine.
"We had a date set, and that date has now passed," she added. "The decision to postpone [the wedding] was very difficult. I definitely shed some tears."
In April, Fedotowsky also suffered a head injury after she was knocked overboard during a kayaking trip with Martinez, 27, near San Diego, California.
"Made it out of the ER w/staples in my head & a little less hair after falling out of a kayak. Scary stuff. Wearing a helmet next time," Fedotowsky Tweeted at the time. I think I freaked out more when the doctor cut my hair rather than when he put staples into my head. Lol. Very thankful to be ok."
The couple moved to San Diego after filming the sixth season of "The Bachelorette." Fedotowsky, a local television news correspondent, told OnTheRedCarpet.com earlier this year that she's enjoying the laid-back lifestyle.
"At first it was a big change of pace because I was in San Francisco and liked the hustle and bustle up there," Fedotowsky said. "It's a lot more laid-back but he's teaching me to just chill out, you live longer and life is good. You live longer."
