Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria IS pregnant: 'We're having a baby' (Video)
Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria Thomas have confirmed a rumor that has been floating around for the past couple of weeks -- the two are expecting their first child together.
The couple, who wed in June 2012, announced the pregnancy in an interview on the TV show "Extra" on Tuesday, February 12.
"We're having a baby!" said Thomas, a 28-year-old yoga instructor. "It was a surprise, a wonderful surprise."
Baldwin, 54, recalled how she screamed after seeing her positive pregnancy test, saying it was "the scream that's normally reserved if there's a spider in the house on Long Island, not exaggerating."
"It really is the most amazing thing," he said. "I mean if I really share with you how I felt, I'd probably burst out crying now, so I'm going to try to avoid that. It is something where ... I'm lucky."
Rumors about her pregnancy surfaced in late January. Baldwin's spokesperson had Tweeted at the time: "Our response to baby speculation over the past 18 months has remained the same - when/if @abfalecbaldwin and @Hilariabaldwin have news they want to share, they will share it.
Baldwin wed Thomas in June 2012 in New York City. The two married at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in a Catholic ceremony attended by family and famous Hollywood pals, including Baldwin's brother and fellow actor Stephen, actress Mariska Hargitay, director Woody Allen and "30 Rock" co-star Tina Fey. Their show ended its seven-season run on January 30.
Baldwin was previously married for nine years to actress Kim Basinger. They divorced in 2002. They shared a 17-year-old daughter, Ireland. Thomas has no other children.
"I'm going to be a big half sister. Woah," she said on Twitter on Tuesday, adding jokingly: "My dad is pregnant guys."
