Alec Baldwin stalker suspect arrested in New York
Genevieve Sabourin, a Canadian woman from Montreal, was arrested in New York City on charges of stalking actor Alec Baldwin.
Sabourin was awaiting arraignment on April 9, according to the Associated Press. She was arrested after the 54-year-old "30 Rock" star filed a complaint.
Baldwin has had previous run-ins with Sabourin in recent weeks. The actor was at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts on April 5 when Sabourin showed up and was removed by security, according to Police. They say she also turned up at his Long Island home on March 31. Baldwin also said Sabourin has called him repeatedly and professed her love for him.
Baldwin reportedly told authorities that he met the woman on the set of the 2002 film "The Adventures of Pluto Nash." Baldwin had a small role in the film, which starred Eddie Murphy.
"I have a woman in my life, who's very important to me, my girlfriend," Baldwin told host David Letterman. When asked how long they'd been dating, the actor joked, "On a spiritual level, I've known her forever, Dave."
