Abbie Cornish gushes about Robert De Niro at the premiere of 'Limitless'

03/19/2011 by Olivia Allin

Abbie Cornish, 28, gushed to OnTheRedCarpet.com about meeting her co-star, screen legend Robert De Niro at the "Limitless" Hollywood premiere on March 11, 2011.

"Just meeting him [De Niro] is an experience I'll have with me for the rest of my life," Cornish told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "It's kind of crazy. That's someone that I remember from the first time I actually took note of the fact that I watching a film or that I was watching something. That's such an inspiring, amazing, talented person."

"Limitless" also stars Bradley Cooper and Johnny Whitworth. The film follows hapless copywriter Eddie Morra (Cooper), whose life is turned around when he's introduced to the top-secret drug, NZT, which gives him super human abilities. Cornish plays Cooper's love interest in the film, which is based on the Alan Glynn novel, "The Dark Fields."

The actress also called her on-screen love interest, Bradley Cooper "100 percent charming."

When asked whether she would take a pill to make her perfect. Cornish explained that perfection was not necessarily the intended result.

"I think perfection might be the wrong word to use. For me, that drug, it's not perfection that it seems to withhold, it's the ability to be able to accelerate one's growth and one's learning and also unlock the potential of one's brain. And just to be able to... it's like slowing the clock down and fastening it up, all at the same time.

Cornish, who grew up in Australia, next stars in "Sucker Punch," a Zack Snyder movie about escaped female insane asylum inmates who live in an alternative reality in the '50s and is set for release on March 25.

Cornish was also cast for the role of Wally in the film "W.E." about Nazi collaborators Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII, which will be directed by Madonna.

"Limitless" was released on March 18, 2011. Watch the trailer below.
