Aaron Paul helps man propose to girlfriend - watch engagement video
Hold on, little girl, Jesse Pinkman's going to help me propose to you ...
A Chicago man, Jason Lord, enlisted the help of "Breaking Bad" alum Aaron Paul to ask for his girlfriend Jackie Prater's hand in marriage.
As seen in a YouTube video, Prater is brought inside comedy club Studio BE by a friend "under the pretense that it's a quick stop before getting nails done and smiles at the camera. Lord plays the keyboard and performs the 1991 Mr. Big power ballad "To Be With You" with a band, while members of his sketch comedy troupe, 4 Days Late, later join them on stage.
The song has served as an inside joke for the couple, who once sang it as a duet while drunk during a date, the video explains.
Five and a half minutes later, Paul appears in a different segment talking to the camera and says that Lord has a "very important question" for Prater. Lord is then seen proposing to his girlfriend. She accepts and they kiss as their friends clap during the emotional moment. More of Paul's video is then played and he utters his "Breaking Bad" character's catchphrase - "Yeah b----."
Lord had won the personalized video from Paul after donating the actor's wife's charity, the anti-bullying group The Kind Campaign, according to People magazine.
"Jason & Jackie, Congratulation to both of you. I'm so happy I could be a small part of this special day. Love, Ap," Paul tweeted.
"@aaronpaul_8 No, thank you. Seriously, you're the man, and you helped make the day even more incredible," Lord replied.
Prater works as a theater actress in Chicago. Lord keeps busy with his improv troupe. He directed "Jersey Shore: The Musical" in the city last year and stars in and wrote the show "It's A Wonderful Pro-Life," which runs Dec. 5 to Dec. 28.
His video has been viewed more than 12,000 times since it was posted on YouTube on Dec. 16, a day after the proposal took place (watch it below - warning: Contains mildly offensive language from Paul).
"So much for being able to absent-mindedly pick my nose in public for the next couple of weeks," Lord joked on Twitter.
