ABC's 'Day of Giving': Donate to help Sandy survivors
The ABC Television Network has designated Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 as a "Day of Giving," enlisting the help of OTRC.com's parent company KABC Television and its seven other local sister stations, as well as daytime, primetime and late night shows to raise funds to aid the survivors of Superstorm Sandy.
You can help too by donating to the American Red Cross.
You can do this via:
TEXT: Text ABC to 90999 to give a $10 donation to the Red Cross.
ONLINE: Go to www.redcross.org/abc.
BY PHONE: Call 1-800-HELP-NOW. This number will bypass all the other menu options and direct your call to Hurricane Sandy relief.
UPDATE: As of 8:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, more than $16.8 million was raised by ABC viewers and Samsung, which had donated $3 million.
ABC and OTRC.com are both owned by the Walt Disney Company
