A.J. McLean of Backstreet Boys weds Rochelle DeAnna Karidis
A.J. McLean of Backstreet Boys tied the knot on Saturday, December 17 to girlfriend Rochelle DeAnna Karidis.
The 33-year-old performer and his bride exchanged their vows in a goth-themed, evening ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to People magazine.
The wedding was a huge affair with a gazebo ornamented with white hydrangeas, a clear tent on the Crystal Lawn and "romantic chandeliers," according to the magazine.
McLean turned to Twitter to express his emotions.
"Wedding is tomorrow, Ro and I could barely sleep last night, I think we're a little excited!" McLean Tweeted on Friday December 16.
Earlier this year, McLean checked into rehab for "personal reasons." In 2001 and 2002 he received treatment for alcohol abuse, depression and anxiety.
"With 2011 being a busy year for Backstreet, I want to be healthy and at my best," he said. "None of this will affect our current tour plans and I look forward to seeing everyone really soon!"
McLean's rise to fame was with popular 1990s boy band "Backstreet Boys," who began their 2011 tour with "New Kids on The Block" in June after a hiatus.
