Jake Owen and his wife Lacey Buchanan are going to need a lot of little dresses for their baby in November.

The 30-year-old country singer and his 22-year-old actress wife confirmed to People magazine that they are expecting a baby girl.

"We actually found out Lacey was pregnant after I had asked her dad for his permission," he told the magazine. "From the day I met her, there was no doubt in my mind I wanted to marry her, and we always knew we wanted a family."

"We didn't want to go public with it until we found out if it was a boy or a girl," Buchanan said. "The pregnancy was just something we wanted to keep for ourselves for a little while."

The country singer, who is known for singles like "Don't Think I Can't Love You" and "Barefoot Blue Jean Night," also Tweeted about the news on July 2.

"Greatest day of my life. Point blank. Best ever. Wow," he wrote.

The couple married in a sunrise ceremony on Monday, May 7, at Owen's hometown of Vero Beach, Florida.

Owen and his wife met on the set of his 2009 music video "8 Second Ride" and became involved romantically after she starred in the clip for his 2011 single, "Barefoot Blue Jean Night."

Owen proposed to Buchanan at his concert at the Citrus Bowl at Vero Beach High, his alma mater, on April 7. He brought her onstage for a dance while performing his song "Don't Think I Can't Love You" and then got down on one knee. He did not have a ring to give her at the time.
