David Cross engaged to 'House' actress Amber Tamblyn
"Arrested Development" actor David Cross, 47, recently got engaged to "House" actress Amber Tamblyn, 28, the actor's reps confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com on Wednesday.
This is the first reported engagement for both actors, who have been dating since 2009.
Tamblyn rose to fame playing Emily Quartermaine on the soap opera "General Hospital" and starred on the CBS series "Joan of Arcadia." She has also appeared in films like "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," "The Grudge 2," "Main Street" and "127 Hours."
The actress recently appeared on FOX's medical drama "House" as Martha M. Masters, a medical student prodigy who was born to a Columbia University professor who married a student nineteen years younger than him. Tamblyn's real-life father is "West Side Story" actor Russ Tamblyn, who played the leader of the Jets gang in the movie musical.
Cross is a stand-up comedian who is perhaps best known for his work on HBO's sketch comedy series, "Mr. Show" and for his role as Tobias Fünke in FOX's "Arrested Development." Cross also had a recurring role on the FOX comedy series, "Running Wilde."
Cross currently appears in IFC's original comedy series, "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret." The actor created, wrote and stars as Todd Margaret, a well-intentioned corporate nobody, who bluffs his way into a senior sales position at the London office for the new energy drink Thunder Muscle. Will Arnett stars as Margaret's boss.
"Mad Man" actor Jon Hamm is slated to guest star in 5 episodes of the upcoming second season, which premieres in January 2012.
